claimed her second straight championship.
The 64th annual Santa Clara Women’s Golf Championship was held July 31 and Aug. 1 at San Jose Country Club and Corey Utsurogi claimed her second straight championship.

Utsurogi, who plays for Santa Clara University, had a two-day score of 151 to win the championship flight.

Local competitors from Morgan Hill included Lani Gadsby, Sheila Michael, Bonnie Williams, Patricia Williams and Trisha Williams.

Patricia Williams had the most successful day for the local golfers by taking first in Flight 5 with a score of 97-102-199. Bonnie Williams was tops in Flight 7 with her score of 104-104-208.

Gadsby shot a two-day total of 207 to finish 14th in Flight 4, Michael was 11th in Flight 5 with a score of 225 and Trisha Williams withdrew from Flight 4 after shooting a 110 on the first day.
