Dear Editor,
Five years after 9/11, the Bush administration and his Grand Oil Party has failed to keep us safe. The lack of follow through of the recommendations of the 9/11 Commission has left us more vulnerable than before 9/11. We are more than $300 billion in debt, mostly to nefarious contractors with close ties to our current administration. Billions have been lost in the system, just check the most recent GAO reports
The pockets of middle class and our children have been picked clean by this group of incompetents.
The war in Iraq has diverted attention from protecting America from terrorism and the Iraq War of Futility has inflamed the entire Middle East and is helping Al Qaeda attract young recruits. The current Republican administration is constantly whittling away at middle class values and consumer protections. The environment is under direct attack by our own government, who is supposed to protect it!
Republicans are using fear and terror scare tactics as well as personal attacks of anyone who does not goosestep with them. This is causing distress throughout the world and our own communities. Enough is enough! We are a great country and should not be ruled by mega corporate oil, pharmaceutical, tobacco, and nuclear companies and their greedy friends on Capitol Hill.
It’s time for good, common sense leadership. It is time for change, both here and in America.
I urge all good Americans to vote for Progressive Democrats this fall!!
