Start celebrating early for Valentine’s Day and held the Teacher’s Aid Coalition with Chocolate and Wine for Valentine this Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Granary, 17500 Depot St. Sample premium local wines, fine chocolates and tasty finger foods while enjoying local artwork for sale. There will be a silent auction with all proceeds to the Teachers Aid Coalition, which provides classroom supplies for local teachers. Love is in the air this pre-Valentine’s Day weekend. And what better way to show your affection than to lean how to make your own special Valentine card? The BookSmart Valentine making workshop this Saturday from 10-11:30 a.m. is the perfect way to make this day special. Please RSVP at 778-6467 to ensure space and supplies. Love reading? Then the Friends of the Library Winter Book Sale this Saturday will surely tickle your fancy. Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Morgan Hill Library Program Room, 660 W. Main Ave. will have plenty of books to chose from. With all books for $1 or less, children’s books for 10 cents and small paperbacks of mostly romance and science fiction also at 10 cents, you can’t go wrong. A special sale of $3 for an entire bag of books in the last hour will also occur. Details: 782-9029
Meet author Marty Brounstein, writer of “Two Amount the Righteous Few” as speaks on his story two Catholics who saved the lives of dozens of Jewish people from the Holocaust in Holland during World War II. In a one-hour program, History San Jose Portraits of the Past will present a look at California women winning the right to vote. Starting at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Morgan Hill Grange, 40 E.
