Morgan Hill Unified School District has scheduled the 2016-17 graduating class ceremonies for Live Oak and Ann Sobrato high schools on the same day June 8 four hours apart.
Sobrato’s commencement ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. on the Bulldogs football field, while Live Oak graduates will receive their diplomas at 6 p.m. at the Acorns football stadium. Sobrato is located at 401 Burnett Ave. Live Oak is at 1505 E. Main Ave.
Last spring, parents and loved ones endured 100-plus degree temperatures to watch their graduates on their special day.
Central High’s graduation is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. June 7 at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center (17000 Monterey Road) and the Community Adult School commencement ceremony is planned for June 15.
At the local middle schools, Britton’s eighth grade awards assembly is set for 9:30 a.m. June 8 and Martin Murphy’s eighth grade awards are 9 a.m. June 7. Britton is located at 80 Central Avenue in Morgan Hill. Murphy is located at 141 Avenida Espana in San Jose.
