Dear Editor,

When we search for the right words … The ones that can truly convey the feelings and gratitude that many feel and many owe to a precious few … When we search for the right words …

The ones that can truly convey the feelings and gratitude that many feel and many owe to a precious few.

The right words do not come and the words that do, seem to be far less than adequate.

Thank you.

Two words, that are far less than the number needed to fully express our gratitude.

Two words, that should be spoken by every Burnett student, past and present.

Thank You for your devotion, determination and dedication to the educational success and personal growth of the children who passed through Burnett’s halls.

Two words, that can never compensate for the many hours of work done behind the scenes and for the open arms that were extended to students and families in need.

Two words, when combined with others attempt to bring closure to a time, a place and an experience that was truly our own.

Thank You.

Could not be two more qualified to operate marijuana dispensary

Dear Editor:

Regarding your “Medical marijuana for sale?” article published on May 14, 2009.

I worked for and with both Batzi Kuburovich and Neil Forrest at Century 21 in Morgan Hill, first in administration and then as a Realtor, so my perspective was unique and penetrating.

I can’t imagine two people more suited to establishing a well-run, tightly managed enterprise such as they are interested in undertaking in Gilroy, one that would elevate the dispersion of medical marijuana to those legally entitled and in need of its benefits.

And it is a no-brainer that a business of this kind, if successful, brings needed revenue to the host city and puts a big dent in the profits realized by the rampant illegal specter whose criminal mission is to “up-sell” clients to more potent and deadly drugs.

Let’s get real and get past the mentality that the many people qualified to purchase from such clinics end up shooting heroin or holding up banks. If you want to see a real drug problem, then check out the Gilroy Safeway after 10 p.m.

Caltrain board removes cutting South County from list of options to cut

Dear Editor,

The editorial entitled “Caltrain should expand service, not cut” asks the question: “Does anyone know the trains provide free WiFi?”

The answer should be no because Caltrain doesn’t provide WiFi (free or otherwise). We ran a demonstration project a number of years ago but never progressed past that because of a number of hurdles.

However, you will be pleased to know that Caltrain staff will be making a modified recommendation to the Caltrain board of directors Thursday regarding fare and service changes.

Staff is no longer recommending that service to Gilroy be suspended.
