Morgan Hill’s Teachers Aid Coalition, a nonprofit organization which helps local teachers receive much-needed school supplies, is having its annual “Harvest Wine Tasting” event at Clos LaChance Winery located at One Hummingbird Lane off Watsonville Road in San Martin at 5:30pm, Oct. 19.

Dorothy McNett will speak about holiday foods and wine pairing, “Fruit Nuances you’ll find in fine wine – Deciphering the wine critics.” Event will also feature fruit delicacies from Andy’s Orchard, food bites prepared by Le Bistro Restaurant and fine wines of Clos LaChance.

The $20 admission ticket goes toward purchase of classroom supplies for local teachers. Morgan Hill Mayor Dennis Kennedy and Morgan Hill Unified School District Superintendent Alan Nishino will help host the event. Tickets can be purchased at the door, through BookSmart and at the offices of Dr. Jon Hatakeyama. Event will also feature a raffle drawing.

At the Oct. 4 Morgan Hill City Council meeting, city leaders provided their support to the event by declaring Oct. 19 as Teachers Aid Coalition’s Harvest Wine Tasting Day. For more information call Dr. Hatakeyama at (408) 779-7391.
