Ever since 11-year-old Caley Camarillo was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, a disease with no cure, her mother, Teresa Camarillo, has flung herself into doing everything she can do to help find one.

On May 11, Martin is hosting a spring boutique in San Martin as a way to raise money for cystic fibrosis research.

“Without a cure, we have no hope of saving our daughter,” Camarillo said. “Last year, we were told we had two good years left with Caley.”

The boutique is packed with vendors specializing in handmade children’s products such as tutus, jewelry and hair accessories – but other crafts, as well as garden decor and beauty products, will be present also.

Any Disney Channel obsessed child will delight in the appearances of Caley’s friends – Francesca Capaldi of “Dog with a Blog,” Davis Cleveland of “Shake it Up,” Kat McNamara of “Girl Vs. Monster” and Dylan Riley Snyder with “Kickin’ It” – who will be stationed at the boutique for photos and autographs in the afternoon.

“We thought, why not use them to come out? Things like this don’t happen in our neck of the woods,” Camarillo said.

Other highlights of the event for children include a bounce house, face painting and carnival-style treats such as shaved ice and cotton candy.

Camarllo will charge each vendor a flat fee for booth space. People interested in soliciting their craft or products at the boutique can email Camarillo at

The event will be held at the San Martin Lions Club at 12415 Murphy Ave. from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
