Run through downtown Morgan Hill at the inaugural Crossroads Christian School Eagles’ 5K Run and help the school’s health and fitness programs.

Get those running shoes laced up because Crossroads Christian School will be hosting its 2nd Annual Eagles Run Community 5K at 8 a.m. this Saturday.

The community event, which anticipates more than 300 participants this year, is part of the school’s mission “to highlight the importance of educating our youth about health and physical fitness.”

The race, which starts and finishes at 145 Wright Ave. at Crossroads Christian School, runs through the heart of downtown Morgan Hill and weaves through neighborhoods on the west side of town.

To register for the 5K run, which is $35 per entrant (deadline to register is Thursday), visit http://www.eaglesrun5k.org. For more information, contact the Eagles Run 5K team at ea*********@cc***.org.

All participants receive a reusable “goodie” bag containing a 5K T-shirt, a CCS promotional item, a list of all sponsors and numerous sponsor giveaway items. There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals in all male and female age groups. Times will be logged by South Valley Endurance.

All proceeds go towards the health, fitness and technology programs benefiting Crossroads Christian School and its surrounding community.
