Chili’s restaurant in Morgan Hill will host the Morgan Hill Police Officers Association’s annual Tip-A-Cop fundraiser for the Special Olympics next week.

The fundraiser will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Chili’s, 1039 Cochrane Road, according to Morgan Hill Officer Demetrick Caballero.

Morgan Hill Police officers as well as volunteers with the City’s Volunteers in Policing program will be available at the restaurant to serve customers and accept donations for the Special Olympics annual torch run, which is scheduled to pass through Morgan Hill in June.

All proceeds from tips and donations offered to the law enforcement servers will go to the Special Olympics Northern California.

Tax-deductible donations can also be made directly to the Special Olympics by visiting www.sonc.org, or by calling (925) 944-8801.
