A little more than a month after leaving Specialized Bicycle Components in Morgan Hill, former top executive Mike Abbott has departed from his latest post as president of Portland footwear company, Keen.
Abbott had been the chief operating officer at Specialized starting in February 2011 and was previously the Morgan Hill company’s general manager from Jan. 2009 to Jan. 2011, according to his profile on the professional network, linkedin.com.
He was named Keen’s president June 3 and his first day on the job was July 8, according to a report in the Oregonian newspaper.
“Keen has made the difficult decision to part ways with Mike Abbott,” spokeswoman Deborah Pleva said Tuesday, reading from a statement. “We wish him the best of luck with his future pursuits. Keen will continue to be run by its founder, owner and CEO, Rory Fuerst.”
The reasoning behind Abbott’s departure from Keen is unknown at this time.
