The Rotary Club of Morgan Hill’s Gallery of Trees exhibit – one of the community’s annual anticipated holiday events – will be erected on the lawn of the Community and Cultural Center’s amphitheater Dec. 7.
The installation will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and will be followed by the downtown Holiday Lights Parade. The winner of the Gallery of Trees exhibit will be announced after the parade.
Local public and private schools, as well as youth organizations in Morgan Hill, are invited to participate by decorating pre-lit holiday trees for the display. Registration costs $25 per tree.
Cash scholarships will be awarded to first, second and third place winners, plus three honorable mention winners.
The gallery will remain on display until Dec. 22.
Since 2003, the Gallery of Trees has awarded more than $10,000 in youth scholarship funds, while adding to the vibrancy of the Morgan Hill winter holiday festivities, according to a press release from the Rotary Club of Morgan Hill.
“The gallery provides an engaging way for youth in our community to come together and embrace the humanitarian themes of Rotary and share those themes with the community in a thoughtful, creative, spirit-filled way,” the press release says.
This year’s theme for the Gallery of Trees is “Engage Humanity and Changing Lives.”
