Teens in latex suits steal tennis balls
Three male teenagers wearing latex suits reportedly stole tennis balls from a patron of the Morgan Hill Community Park Saturday afternoon, according to police.
The incident was reported at the park’s tennis courts on West Edmundson Avenue, about 5:38 p.m. Saturday.
The latex suits worn by the teens covered their faces, according to police reports. One of the suits was red, and one was rainbow colored.
Burglar steals oatmeal
Someone who broke into an office on Diana Avenue stole some oatmeal, but passed up an unspecified number of computer items, according to police reports.
The crime was reported about 8:15 a.m. Monday, police said.
The unknown suspect or suspects made entry to the office by shattering the glass on a door or window, according to police.
The office was in disarray when an employee of the office called police, but some computer equipment was not stolen from the building, according to police reports.
Rash of auto break-ins reported in north MH neighborhood
Police reported a series of auto break-ins and burglaries in north Morgan Hill last week.
On Friday morning, a number of residents in the area of Dougherty Avenue reported the break-ins to Morgan Hill police, according to police reports.
A Toyota Camry on Basil Avenue and a Nissan Rogue on Saffron Drive, as well as a Cadillac STS, GMC Yukon and GMC Sierra on Dougherty Avenue were all reportedly broken into by an unknown suspect or suspects. Two of the break-ins occurred at one home on Dougherty Avenue.
Reportedly stolen in the series of burglaries were a leather purse containing credit cards and $100 cash, as well as some change, according to police.
Guitars, amp stolen from residence
Two guitars and an amplifier were stolen from a home in south Morgan Hill some time last week, according to police.
The burglary was reported about 9:30 p.m. Saturday, on the 16600 block of San Ramon Drive, police said. Stolen from the resident’s garage were an electric Gibson guitar, an electric Schecter guitar and a Mesa Boogie amplifier. The total value of the items is about $3,200.
No suspect or suspects have been identified, according to police reports.
