Let’s play ball: Morgan Hill PONY Baseball will kick off its 2013 season Saturday with opening ceremonies followed by at least a half dozen games at the Britton Middle School baseball fields in Morgan Hill.
A parade with players and coaches starting at 10 a.m. will give way to guest singer MacKenzie Turnipseed, a 12-year-old student a Martin Murphy Middle School, giving their rendition of the National Anthem and then some words from keynote speaker Bob Straight, the varsity baseball coach at Ann Sobrato High School.
Former PONY Board President John Bennett will be throwing out the first pitch before league games start up at the baseball diamonds at Britton.
