Once again, the County of Santa Clara Animal Shelter has joined with the other five animal shelters located in Santa Clara County to hold the annual “Home for the Holidays” program in December.
The County of Santa Clara Animal Shelter, Humane Society Silicon Valley, Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority, San Jose Animal Care and Services, Palo Alto Animal Services, and Town Cats Rescue are all lowering the cost of most adoptions in an effort to find homes for more than 1,300 animals by New Year’s Eve.
Adoptions from the County of Santa Clara Animal Shelter normally range from $90 to $120. During “Home for the Holidays,” the adoption rate is $12 for any adult dog or cat. The County of Santa Clara Animal Shelter defines adult animals as older than 4 months. Families will receive all the regular adoption benefits for their new pet – spay/neuter surgery, microchip implant and registration, vaccinations, de-fleaing and de-worming, andFIV/FeLV testing for cats.
Animals can be adopted immediately at the County of Santa Clara Animal Shelter, City of Palo Alto Animal Services, Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority, City of San Jose Animal Care and Services, Humane Society Silicon Valley, and Town Cats.
The promotion runs through Dec. 31, 2013. For more information, go to: www.sccountypets.org.
