Herman H. Vasquez passed away last Tuesday afternoon at the age of 76 at the Mabie Northside Skilled Nursing Facility. A native of Atwood, CA, Herman came to Hollister 19 years ago. He had been a foster grandparent to children through a program administered by the state of California and formerly was a cemetery caretaker.
He is survived by his wife Lillian Vasquez of Hollister, his children; Tammy Stewart, Sue Largent, Ivalen (Lynn) Edmonds, Jerry and Glenda Lane. He was predeceased by Stella Lomalee, Herman G. Vasquez, Jr. and Ivan Dale Shisler II. Several grand and great grandchildren survive.
Visitation is today (Tues.) from 9 A.M. until the funeral service which commences at 1 P.M. at Grunnagle Ament Nelson Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery in Montebello, CA.
