Four Morgan Hill students, each chosen by their school as top student, were honored with Outstanding Student Achievement Awards March 3 by the ROTARY CLUB OF MORGAN HILL.

Rotary presented each student with U.S. saving bonds for their future education and an achievement certificate, and also recognized their parents and school principal at luncheon ceremonies.

The honorees were:

CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL: Student Arthur Anthony Guerrero, mother Christina Guerrero and principal Irene Macias-Morriss.

COMMUNITY ADULT SCHOOL: Nancy Mai, principal Dennis Browne, school administrator William Cerdan.

LIVE OAK HIGH SCHOOL: Student Ariana Hosseini, parents Soheil and Donna Hosseini and principal Nicholas Boden.

SOBRATO HIGH SCHOOL: Student Priya Chawathe, parents Ashok and Leena Chawathe and principal Rich Knapp.      

All public and private Morgan Hill schools have the opportunity to annually select one outstanding student for the honor. Awards are announced on a rotating basis throughout the year.

The Rotary Club’s recognition program is part of its ongoing commitment to serve the youth of the community.
