Helping the Troops

Students at Barrett Elementary School wanted a project that would allow them to reach out and help others during the “giving season.” The school’s student council members decided a great way to give would be to show support for U.S. troops oversees. Students collected goodies – including lots of candy – to ship to a battalion in Iraq. The care packages were assembled last week and shipped out, hopefully reaching the troops by the holidays.
