Both Sobrato basketball teams will appear in the Blossom Valley Athletic Tournament, which begins Tuesday.
West Valley Champions Sobrato girls will hit the road to start things off, facing the Santa Teresa No. 3 team, Leland.
Leland edged out Live Oak as the final team from the Santa Teresa to enter the BVAL tournament by way of a tie breaker.
Tip off for the game is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Leland.
Leland went 8-5 in league play and 12-12 overall.
The winner of the game will travel to Westmont on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the boys — the Santa Teresa No. 3 — will host the West Valley No. 1 team, Yerba Buena.
Sobrato narrowly advanced to the tournament, thanks to a win over Live Oak on Friday. The Bulldogs knocked out Evergreen Valley, who finished a game back.
The Bulldogs will face off against a Yerba Buena team that had to win three in a row to stave off a challenge from Mt. Pleasant for the division’s top spot.
The Aztec Warriors are 11-13 overall this season and 10-4 in league play.
The winner will travel to Leigh on Wednesday to face the Mt. Hamilton Division champions. The Longhorns were 14-0 in league play and have lost just one game this season.
