The sixth annual pet wash fundraiser in the parking lot of Cherisse’s Hair Salon June 28 raised $3,366 for two area nonprofits, according to salon owner Cherisse White.
Proceeds went to One Step Closer therapeutic horseback riding services and Furry Friends Pet Assisted Therapy Services.
The pet wash was organized by Cherisse’s Hair Salon and Women’s Business Owners Association, White said.
“We had over 50 volunteers help us wash and groom almost 40 dogs in just three hours,” White said. “We had chair massages, raffle prizes, snow cones and more.”
