Sobrato Bulldogs

Morgan Hill cleaned up in the Blossom Valley Athletic League awards for all the fall sports.
The Live Oak football team cleaned up with five players of the year honors and the Coach of the Year in Mike Gemo.
Overall, Morgan Hill came away with 13 players of the year honors including two MVP awards. There were 20 players named to the First Team All League and 17 others named to the Second Team All League.
Behind its football team, Live Oak had 12 athletes named to First Teams and 10 more named to Second Teams.
In football The Acorns went 9-2 overall, including 6-1 in their first year in the Mt. Hamilton Division.
Erik Ornduff earned co-Senior of the Year. Ryan Quadros was Defensive, Paul Lomanto was Offensive Back of the Year, Jacob Ryder was Defensive Back of the Year and Eugene Nfon was Linebacker of the Year.
In water polo, the Live Oak boys and girls teams both came away with MVP honors, with Claudia Lastra taking come co-MVP in the Santa Teresa Division and John James was co-MVP for the boys in Santa Teresa.
From the boys polo team, Kai Leong also earned Sophomore of the Year for Live Oak.
Staying in the water, Abbey Pfefferlen earned Senior of the Year honors for the Mt. Hamilton Division. She joined her male counterpart as Blake Mosher won SOY for the boys team in the Mt. Hamilton Division.
Both water polo teams took second in BVAL division play. The boys team won its first round playoff game against Stevenson before falling to Carmel.
The girls team advanced to the BVAL finals for the first time and was seeded No. 4 in the Division II playoffs, where it lost to Valley Christian in a classic match.
Staying at Sobrato, Jamie Gonzales earned Libero of the Year for the Bulldogs in their first year in the Santa Teresa Division.
Rachel Faulk earned Goalie of the Year for the Santa Teresa Division in field hockey.
Finally, Darius Wheeler was Senior of the Year in the Santa Teresa Division All-Football Team.
