Dear Editor,

I am writing in response to the article “VTA Delays BART Tax Vote.”

It amazes me how the VTA thinks. Somehow it is okay to want to tax us to bring BART to San Jose, something they have wanted to do for years.

It keeps failing, and remember that VTA just held community meetings to determine where the most need is because “they don’t have money or resources” to add lines in Gilroy. In South County I think determining where busses should go is motivated by money and not need. Otherwise, we would see a bus going out to the migrant camp at least twice a day during the session when families are there and during the winter for the transitional shelter. Instead, we get extra lines to the new Wal-Mart. Until we get the lines we need in Gilroy, let’s not vote to approve a new quarter-cent sales tax for something we don’t need.
