What do Zumba and zombies have in common?
The Morgan Hill Youth Action Council is inviting kids ages 3 and up to Friday’s Zumba Fitness Halloween Fundraiser, where participants are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes. The event will be held at the Community & Cultural Center in the Hiram Morgan Hill Room.
There are two sessions:
-Ages 3-12: 5:30 to 6:15 p.m.
-Ages 13 and older: 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Tickets, available at the Centennial Recreation Center and Community & Cultural Center, are $5 for children, $15 for adults (a suggested donation), which includes child care from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m.
Proceeds will help subsidize the cost for other annual YAC events, such as the Senior Citizens Ball, a dance for local senior citizens; and Youth Leadership of Morgan Hill, a four-day leadership camp for teens interested in learning and improving leadership skills and/or becoming a part of YAC.
The Morgan Hill Youth Action Council, or YAC, is a group of 30 teens who build developmental assets one youth at a time and volunteer their time to help improve their community and connect the generations.
