Ryan Ramirez fell from reality TV competition fame Thursday night after the panel of four judges on Season 8 “So You Think You Can Dance?” voted unanimously to send her home.

Ramirez, 19, hoped to make the Top 10 dancers last night after just missing the Top 24 cut last year, but a year of growing as a person and a dancer gave Ramirez the experience to advance to the Top 12 this season.

Her performance Thursday didn’t impress the judges and perhaps harder to swallow, viewers didn’t vote enough to keep Ramirez and her partner Ricky Jaime safe from elimination. Last night was the third time this season Ramirez was in the bottom three couples.

Ramirez “danced for her life” but it just wasn’t enough for judge Nigel Lythgoe.

“We felt as though you’re a little lack-luster. We didn’t feel you actually put everything into your solo,” Lythgoe said.

“You seem down and depressed,” he said. Ramirez mouthed “But, I’m not.”

Before judge Cat Deely asked the audience to say farewell to Ramirez, FOX looked back at her time on the show. Ramirez said in the piece, “I want to be a dancer who showed my soul and I want people to know me for my heart,” she said.

The camera came back onto Ramirez who was crying. “You are truly amazing and unique,” Deely said. Ramirez’s mother Paige Day and her brother Rhett were seen clapping – hands high in the air – for their daughter and sister.
