Two organizers and two Sobrato High School students in vegetable costumes staff the refreshment station at the May 13 event.

Mayor Steve Tate, Councilwoman Caitlin Jachimowicz, County Supervisor Mike Wasserman and Superintendent of Schools Steve Betando were among the notable participants at the May 13 Let’s All go to the Park event.
Local officials strolled through the Little Llagas Creek Trail in Morgan Hill, beginning from the Centennial Recreation Center on Edmundson Ave.
Participants walked, ran and bikes up to five miles as bike safety and helmet fitting was also provided on site.
This was the first in a series of five stops to explore South Santa Clara County Parks. The next is from 6 to 8 p.m. June 29 at Galvan Park in Morgan Hill located at 17666 Crest Ave.
Prizes were awarded to the first 100 people to pass by designated green flags. Participants were encouraged to post photos on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook using the hashtag #park4health2017 or #firsttimehiker2017.
