‘Comcast Cares Day’
Students at Crossroads Christian School returned to class on Oct. 9 to find some improvements to their campus, thanks to volunteers from Comcast and the school community.

As a part of their annual “Comcast Cares Day,” company volunteers worked side by side with parents and students to install security slatting in the fencing around the playground and create a large U.S. map on the playground.

Workers also did some “general campus clean-up,” according to Crossroads Principal Larry Barger, including raking leaves and painting.

During the summer, Comcast paid for new carpeting in six of classrooms; Barger said the carpet was installed before school started so the students wouldn’t be disrupted.

“We’re very appreciative of the efforts of Comcast, of their volunteers, the staff and our families,” Barger said. “It was a great day.”
