The parking lot of the former liquor store at Monterey Road and Third Street will be closed for excavation starting Monday.

The Morgan Hill Redevelopment Agency contracted with AEI Consultants to remove underground storage tanks, associated gas station piping and other underground debris located at the southeast corner of Monterey Road and Third Street. This is the former liquor store property, located at 17290 Monterey Road.

The work is scheduled to begin Monday, Nov. 30 and should take about two weeks to complete, barring unforeseen complications. The site will be fenced.

The eight-space parking lot directly in front of the former liquor store building will not be available for public access or parking for the duration of the excavation project. However, the adjacent 18-space parking lot just north of Trail Dust will remain open for public parking. If you have any questions about this project, please contract Margarita Balagso or me at 778-6480.
