Mark Steven Bailey August 31, 1955 – January 24, 2012

Mark passed away in Boulder Creek after a courageous 3 year battle with Melanoma brain cancer.Growing up in Gilroy, he graduated from Gilroy High School in 1973. He enjoyed 30 years in construction. James P. (Papa) Villa

Entered into rest in Hollister. He was born in Moss Beach, CA and lived in Hollister for 60 years. He is a 1951 graduate of San Benito High School and worked for the local canneries for over 40 years as a printer and warehouseman. He married his wife, Ninfa in April of this year and attended St. Benedict's Church. He was member of Teamsters Union Local 890, was a past fish and game commissioner and enjoyed woodworking, birdwatching, dogs and wolves and western movies. He was an avid 49ers fan. He is survived by his wife, Ninfa Villa of Hollister, his children and their spouses, Randy and Susan Villa of Hollister, Cindy and Bart Lander of Mountain Home, ID, Hector and Bronwyen Acosta of San Francisco, Kim and Juan Gorena of Hollister and Kevin Crum of Hollister, his brother and sister, Rudolph "Bud" Villa of Atascadero and Sue Whittle, his grandchildren, Rosalie Lander, Elizabeth Villa, Devon Acosta, Heather, Holly, Zach and Nich Escobar and Bradley, Joshua, Amanda and Patrick Webb, his great grandchildren, Sydney Campos, Chloe Maxey, Michael Maxey III and Isaac Crum. He is also survived by his cousin in Half Moon Bay, Betty Villa and is preceded in death by his father and mother, Florentino "Fred" and Gladys Villa.

Gilbert Joseph Angulo

Gilbert passed away peacefully at his home on May 5, 2011. Mr. Angulo is survived by his daughter Rosemary Angulo, daughter Lorraine Castillo, sons Gilbert Jr. and Joseph Angulo. His sister Isable Ybarra and brothers Alfonso, Charlie, Ruben and Manule Angulo. Also survived by nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Eleanor C. Johnston

Eleanor C. Johnston, passed away at Mabie Skilled Nursing Center Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at the age of 94 years. Eleanor was a native of Merced, CA, a graduate of Merced High School and moved to San Benito County 60 years ago. As a child, Eleanor benefited from the qualities of a very close knit family and she exemplified those qualities of hard work, trust, sharing, and helping others during her life as she raised her own family, worked along side her late husband Harvey K. Johnston on their walnut ranch, and within the community and fraternal organizations she belonged to. Eleanor was a member of the Old Mission San Juan Bautista Parish: she worked 40 plus years in their office and gift shop and taught CCD classes. Her memberships also included Native Daughters of the Golden West Parlor No. 179 of San Juan Bautista; Yosemite Institute No. 117, Y.L.I.; the Catholic Daughters; and the Legion of Mary. "Among her talents was her ability to prepare fabulous meals, her interest in music–as an accomplished pianist and singer; and growing beautiful flowers and wonderful vegetables in her garden", said her daughters, Cece and Sharon Johnston of Hollister. Eleanor was the last of six siblings of her family and is survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Frank Segreto July 3, 1944 – May 24, 2017

Frank Joseph Segreto of Gilroy, California passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Stanford Hospital at age 72 after a heart surgery.

A resident of Morgan Hill, he was the beloved husband of Beverly Banville for 62 years, devoted father to Karen and Jody, and loving grandfather to Jason, Julia, Amelia and great-granddaughter Heather.

James Otis Ross, Jr. January 9, 1942 – May 15, 2015

 A memorial service will be held Friday, May 22, 2015, at 11:00 A.M., at Johnson Funeral Home, 17720 Monterey Street, Morgan Hill, followed by a reception at Huntington Station, 30 E. 3rd Street, Morgan Hill. The family kindly requests guests wear their favorite sports gear. Dodger attire will not be admitted, however a shirt exchange will be available at the door. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the VA Palo Alto Medical Center or DUB Baseball.

Frances Bricarello Bolfing June 28, 1913 – February 21, 2012

Frances Bricarello Bolfing (born Frances Mary Louise Bricarello) died peacefully on February 21, 2012, in Gilroy, CA (of natural causes). A memorial service will be held at Saint Mary's Catholic Church, 11 1st Street, Gilroy, CA on April 19, 2012 at 11:30 a.m.

Ricardo (Richard) V. Munoz, Sr.

Ricardo (Richard) V. Munoz, Sr. passed away at the age of 66 in Gilroy, CA. He was with family at the time of his death. He came to Gilroy in 1962. He was a teacher's assistant for the handicapped and also worked at Bozzo's 76 Gas Station and South Valley Refuse. He is survived by his children Jessie Munoz and Sal, Mathilda Munoz-Lopez and Jorge and George Munoz all of Gilroy. Grandchildren Mario, Rigo, Vanessa, Veronica, Elisa, Jorge Jr., Mondo, Daniel and Myla all of Gilroy. Also great-grandchildren Saphire Sky and Mario Munoz Jr. Also survived by sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews.
