Sharen S. Oliveira

Sharen Oliveira, beloved wife of Michael J. Oliveira, passed away at her residence Dec. 28th. A celebration of her life will be scheduled. A full obituary will appear later this week.

Robert Anthony Shaffer

Robert Shaffer died peacefully in his sleep the afternoon of June 3rd,2010, two days after his 88th birthday, which he celebrated with his family. Bob served as a Lieutenant in the US Naval Air Corp. He was a certified fighter pilot, flying Hellcats during WWII.

Gloria (Auntie Gogie) Machado Govea

Born to Gavino and Martha Machado in Hollister, CA , Gloria passed away on September 14, 2009, at the age of 84.

Edward “Rocky” Lydon

Rocky Lydon died at Monterey Pines Convalescent Hospital, Monterey, after a lengthy illness. He was 89.

Louberta Alice Calhoun

Louberta "Boots" Alice Calhoun, 75, passed away on October 31, 2007 in Fresno after a short battle with cancer. Louberta was born in Centerville, Iowa and moved to the Bay Area as a young woman where she and Bob raised their family. She and Bob moved to Clovis in the 70's where they were active in the Clovis Rodeo Association. She enjoyed fishing and cooking but most of all, she loved her family and friends. Louberta's cup was never less than three quarters full. She found the good in everything and everyone.

Antonia Salcido

Antonia Salcido passed away in San Jose, Monday at the age of 74. Born in Madera, California, having moved to Hollister 50 years ago. Along with being a homemaker she had been a nurse's aid at the local convalescent hospitals for 30 years. Member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Guadalupana Society of Hollister. Antonia was the wife of the late Joe "Blackie" Salcido, who died in 2000. She is survived by her children, Marlene Salcido-Gabriele, Sylvester, Freddie and Robert Salcido all of Hollister. Sister of Maggie Urbano, Irene Rodriquez, Raul Rodriguez and Katie Martinez all of Madera. Also survived by 12 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild and several Nieces and Nephews.

Harry “Hal” Ryan June 25, 1922 – February 24, 2016

A military interment will be held on Saturday, March 12th, 2016, at 11:00 A.M., at Mount Hope Cemetery in Morgan Hill, with a reception to follow, at Mama Mia’s restaurant.
