Harold E. Jarrett

Harold E. Jarrett, of Gilroy, reached the age of 100 before passing away on January 6, 2007. He is survived by his son John Jarrett and his sister in law Mary Avila. Funeral services begin 9 am Friday, January 12, 2007 at Habing Family Funeral Home, thence to Our Lady Chapel, St. Mary Catholic Church for a 10 A.M. Mass. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.

Marcus "Ted" Hannah was born on April 22, 1936 in Hollister, CA, to William Amos and Arminta Goodman Hannah. He served in the United States Air Force from 1954 until 1964.

Stanley LeRoy Maynes

Stanley LeRoy Maynes passed away January 5, 2007. Stan was born to Richard John and Emma Drennan Maynes on March 26, 1924. He had two older sisters, Pauline (deceased) and Louise. Stan graduated from South High in Salt Lake City and went on to attend Utah State University until he moved to California to pursue further studies in engineering. He there enlisted in the United States Army and served in the Army Air Corp as a Navigator.

Lawrence Joseph Gersdorf

Lawrence Joseph Gersdorf of Morgan Hill passed away on Saturday evening, December 30, 2006 at St. Louise Regional Hospital in Gilroy. He was 59. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne, his sister, Donna La Rae and two children, Derek and Stacey. He was a Sr. Quality Inspector at Lockheed Martin Space Systems in Sunnyvale. He was involved with the Titan Launch Vehicle at Lockheed Martin in Vandenberg Air Force Base before transferring to Sunnyvale. He had a long career in aerospace. He was a talented artist and musician playing drums and bass guitar in churches on the central coast for many years. He also played drums professionally in the L.A. area backing artists such as Sonny & Cher and Carl Weathers. He was born in Long Beach. He succumbed to a massive heart attack after a long battle with lung cancer and heart disease. He will be greatly missed.

Victoria Henzi passed away on Jan. 3, 2007, in Chico, CA. She was born and raised in Gilroy, CA, and was preceded in death by her parents, Moises & Gregoria Gimenez and husband Walter Henzi.

Haroldene Mae Lager (Gourley)

Haroldene (Dena) Mae Lager, beloved mother and grandmother passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 2nd, 2007 in Gilroy, California at the age of 78. Haroldene was born in Denver, Colorado, but considered Steamboat Springs her true home.
