Dr. Shuichi Sato passed away peacefully on January 10th, 2017 at his home in Gilroy, CA. He leaves a legacy of being an innovator and inventor in the semiconductor world.

Betty Lynn Sans unexpectedly passed away April 6th, 2011, at her home in Paicines, CA. Betty was born February 12th, 1945, in Barstow, CA. Daughter of Donald Alexander MacKinnon and Barbara Elizabeth Sheehan, she is survived by her husband Les Sans, daughter, Shelly Franklin, step-children Sami Jo Johnsen, Todd Sans, Jerilynn Sans and grandchildren, Sierra Jo, Buddy and Brody Sans and Rory and Jo Ellen Johnsen, and brother Greg MacKinnon.

Fedro Segundo Yanez passed away in Valley Village California on March 29th, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. He was born in El Monte, California on April 23, 1934. His parents were Segundo and Virginia Yanez. Services are scheduled for April 10th, 2017 at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 2161 Fullerton Road, Rowland Heights, CA. Ernesto S. Gallegos died in Hollister at the age of 89. Arrangements are pending at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home.

A funeral mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Folsom on Saturday, November 16, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, in Gustine, CA at 1:30 P.M., where Norma will be laid to rest with her one true love, Delos Kemp. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.

Maria H. Clausen entered into rest in Salinas at the age of 52. She was a resident of San Juan Bautista.

Alfred Charles Settrini, 94, of Gilroy, peacefully passed away August 16, 2011.

Harold Edwin Parker died peacefully in his sleep at home on October 22nd, 2010. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Long time Hollister resident Bernice M. Lanini passed away at her Ridgemark Residence on Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010, at the age of 93 years. Bernice was a native of Redwood City, and moved to Hollister as a child with her parents Attilio and Venuta Guerra. She was a graduate of San Benito High School. Bernice was a homemaker most of her life; a member of Sacred Heart Parish; belonged to The Swiss Club and enjoyed attending their functions in Greenfield. "Working in her garden was her number one activity", said her daughters; in addition to the time she spent with her grandchildren, helping others who need assistance, traveling throughout Europe and Alaska, baking cookies in her spare time, and attending the cooking classes at the former Dorothy McNetts's.
