Born and raised in San Jose, resident of Gilroy for many years, retired Gilroy HS teacher. Beloved husband of Sandi Nelson (Cumming, GA). Devoted father of Jeff Nelson (San Rafael) and Melanie Nelson (San Francisco). Cherished brother of Marcia Gregory and Joan Schuller (Larry) of San Jose. Dear uncle to Travis and Joelle Gregory and Amanda and Molly Schuller. Predeceased by parents, Lloyd and Ruth Nelson. A graduate of Willow Glen HS, he received a B.A. in Music and a Masters Degree in Musical Theatre Conducting from SJSU. He conducted many musicals at San Jose Civic Light Opera and is mourned by the local musical theatre community. Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Service on Sat., March 6th at 2:00 P.M. at Gilroy Presbyterian Church, 6000 Miller Ave., Gilroy. Gladys J. Brawley, age 90, of Florence, OR, formerly of Morgan Hill, passed away on May 26, 2007.

Vea Riana Mendoza, 3 years old, earned her angel wings on February 12, 2012 Though Riana's life would seem too short to many, those whose lives she touched understood that her optimism, bright smile, and big heart exceeds the quantity of time in one's life. She reminded us of the preciousness of life.

Robert Aiassa passed away at Stanford Hospital with his family by his side. He was born and raised in San Jose. His parents were Frank and Elsie Aiassa. Robert started Aiassa Trucking after serving as a Merchant Marine during WWII. He drove a truck for 62 years. He was still driving until December 9, 2008. Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Beverly, sons, Steven and Michael, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Donald Brooks, born in Chester, PA passed away in El Dorado, CA at the age of 76.

 Private services were held. Assisting the family is Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.

Andrew Munro, Jr. of Morgan Hill, CA (Formerly of Valley Stream, NY) passed away suddenly on 6/8/10 at the age of 62. Andy was the beloved son of Margaret and the late Andrew Munro, Sr. and the loving brother of Lynne Munro. Andy graduated from Hofstra University and Texas A & M and spent many years in the computer industry working for Exclaim Technologies, Inc., Sybase Inc., Intel Corp., and more than 25 years with IBM Corp. Gilroy Garlic Festival Volunteer for many years. Friends are welcome to join us at a Memorial Service to be held at the home of Louie and Judy Bonino, LJB Farms in San Martin, CA on Thurs. 6/17/10 at 11:00 A.M., to be hosted by his longtime dear friend Elaine Bonino and her family. Roland Bretz Smith, a former resident of Hollister, passed away April 14, 2010 in Fillmore, CA. His final days were spent surrounded by his loving family.

Entered into rest in Hollister. She was born in Hollister and lived here most of her life. She is a member of Sacred Heart Church and worked as a restaurant manager.
