After a lengthy illness and surrounded by her children, Maria Elena entered into rest on November 25, 2006, at her son's home in Morgan Hill, CA. A long time resident of Gilroy, she worked numerous years at the Christopher Ranch and Marriots.

Dorothy Kerkvliet beloved wife of the late John B. Kerkvliet passed away at the Village Green Assisted Living Residence in Gilroy at the age of 86 years.

Eleanor Manitto Ott passed away at her residence at the age of 93 years. She attended San Juan Schools and graduated from San Benito High School.  

Lillie Marcheski died in Hollister. Arrangements are pending at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home.

Manuel E. Munoz passed away at Hazel Hawkins Hospital on February 22, 2012, at the age of 87. He is a native of Bisbee, AZ, lived there for a brief time, and moved to Mexico until 1948.

Dennie Van Tassel, 79, died in Kirkland, Washington, after a long battle with leukoencephalopathy. Apolonia P. Sanchez passed away in Hollister at the age of 89. She was born in Ft. McKavett, TX and lived in Hollister since 1968 coming here from Junction, TX. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and liked sewing and cooking and spending time with her family.
