Following a lengthy investigation, Morgan Hill Police recently arrested two suspects who were traveling through town carrying 21 firearms that would have been distributed to criminal street gangs, according to authorities.

A Gilroy man suspected of a homicide in Milpitas last weekend was found dead in a hotel room Wednesday night, according to police.

Police are searching for Gilroy resident Kevin James Gitmed in relation to an Oct. 10 homicide that occurred in Milpitas, according to authorities.

Then on Aug. 27, Gilroy resident Alan Viarengo was arrested for allegedly sending 24 anonymous, threatening letters to Santa Clara County Health Officer Sara Cody. Investigators serving a search warrant at his home found 138 firearms, thousands of rounds of ammunition and explosive materials.

State authorities have suspended the alcohol license for The Hill Bar and Grill after the establishment was caught selling adult beverages to a minor, according to the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.
