Morgan Hill Unified School District’s governing board will discuss the results of its own board evaluation while district staff will offer an overview of the newest Measure G school projects on tap as part of tonight’s board of education meeting.
Closed session begins at 4:30 p.m. with public session opening at 6 p.m. inside the district’s 15600 Concord Circle headquarters.
The seven-member board “will review the results of the rankings, identify evidence related to the rankings, and discuss areas of success and focus areas of improvements,” according to the Sept. 5 agenda.
The board self-evaluation survey consisted of 44 questions that each trustee answered in varying levels of agreement or disagreement with the accompanied statement. The survey, which will be discussed tonight, can be viewed along with the Sept. 5 attachment on mhusd.org.
The board will also hear from the district staff on how they plan on spending the next $80 million (Series B) of the $198 million general obligation bond passed by voters in the November 2012 election. The district has already used the first $55 million (Series A) on various school and district-wide projects.
The upcoming Series B projects listed on the agenda are:
• $49,078,449 for Britton Middle School reconstruction;
• $10,500,000 for Nordstrom Elementary multi-purpose room and portable replacement;

• $5,500,000 for Technology infrastructure and instructional technology replacement; and
• $2,921,551 for Construction management, Series B cost of issuance.
District officials are seeking board approval on the issuance of the $80 million Series B bonds, according to the agenda.
Also part of Tuesday night’s agenda are approval requests of 2016-17 Unaudited Actuals for the General Fund and Restricted Non-General Funds as well as MHUSD’s Facilities Master Plan.
