Most of those who have been to Rich Firato’s Morgan Hill home, known as “Morgan’s Cove,” know about the extensive pirate-themed decorations throughout his backyard. And certainly those who have just driven by are aware of the authentic-looking pirate ship towering into the nearby oak tree branches.
But on Saturday, June 8, Firato and his fellow Chamber of Commerce directors and members will celebrate at the property for the first time with a cowboy theme, as the “Cove Goes Western.”
And the public is invited, as the Chamber – of which Firato is the Chair of the board – is planning a fundraiser at the home to assist with the nonprofit organization’s business services programs and activities.
The fundraiser features a barbecue dinner by Fire4Hire, as well as local live entertainment acts who will warm up for live country music by the Rodeo House Band, Firato said.
Firato’s goal is to evoke a truly old western atmosphere with “a variety show like they used to in the old days,” he said. “And let the community have a good time.”
Local singer and former “Morgan Hill Idol” winner Larry Gamble will open up on stage, Firato said.

The event is scheduled for 5 to 10 p.m. June 8. Tickets cost $50 each. For more information or to purchase tickets call the Chamber at (408) 779-9444.
