Is the recall of School Board trustees justified?

This is a question that you will have to answer for yourself, but I for one will support the recall of Tom Kinoshita, Del Foster, Jan Masuda and George Panos. There must be a consequence for their lack of fiscal oversight.

The Morgan Hill School District is over plan in construction expenses by at least $30 million over the past four years.

Sobrato High School, originally budgeted for $54 million is now over $80 million. Barrett Elementary School is over plan by approximately $9 million. As far as the Live Oak remodel, I don’t think that the district can give an accurate number on how much has been spent. The Live Oak remodel remains uncompleted because of lack of funds.

The MHSD has an annual budget of approximately $60 million. The latest general fund interim report shows an undesignated balance of $.74 and a 2.3 percent economic uncertainty of $879,548. (A 3 percent reserve is required by law.)

You tell me. Is a recall justified?
