Brew Crawl tickets on sale

Tickets are now on sale for the downtown’s Oct. 10 Morgan Hill Brew Crawl, an annual beer tasting event hosted by local merchants and the Downtown Association.

Tickets cost $35 in advance, and $45 the day of the event. Tickets can be purchased online by following the links to the Brew Crawl at morganhilldowntown.org. The ticket price also includes coupons for downtown businesses, offering values worth more than $100.

The Brew Crawl, which takes place from 1 to 5 p.m., features 20 California breweries that will offer tastes of their best beers at downtown businesses. Participating restaurants and retail stores will each host one brewery, while ticket holders stroll among them and sip a sample while perusing downtown shops.

Participating breweries include 21st Amendment, Gordon Biersch, Hermitage Brewing Company, Lagunitas, Oceanside Ale Works, Old Orange Brewing Company, Seven Bridges Brewing Company and more. Participating downtown businesses include A-Jay’s Cheesesteaks, Betto’s Bistro, BookSmart, Cherisse’s Hair Salon, Fast Frame, GVA Café, Happy Spatula, Huntington Station, Jewel Box Morgan Hill and more.

MH police golf tourney to raise funds for local youth

The Fourth Annual Morgan Hill Police Officers Association “Fall Classic” golf tournament will take place Oct. 23 at Coyote Creek Golf Course.

The golf tournament is a fundraiser for local children. All proceeds raised from the tournament will benefit the Morgan Hill POA Charitable Foundation, which serves youth and student groups in South County.

The tournament entry fee of $150 per player includes green fees, cart, a small bucket of range balls, a box lunch and dinner buffet. Winning team trophies will be awarded, and the event includes prizes for a hole in one, longest drive and closest to the pin. Raffle prizes include drivers, putters, wedge sets, golf bags, range finders and more. Raffle tickets cost $20 for 25 tickets.

Check-in at Coyote Golf Course, 1 Coyote Creek Golf Drive in San Jose, will start at 10:30 a.m. the day of the tournament. A shotgun start will take place at 12 p.m.
