Hello Morgan Hill! It has been awhile since you heard from me last, and I write my apologies to all of you who have missed the current events here at Live Oak.
Well, it’s a new semester for all of us students, and we are already anticipating Winter Break which will be here in about two weeks. Though we are gladly looking forward to this, right now most of us are side-tracked with this week’s events for Basketball Homecoming.
This entire week is spirit week, and we are getting pumped up for the big game night this Friday, against the Hollister Haybalers. The last time they met with the Acorns, the ‘Balers had a miraculous win with two seconds left in the game. This week we aren’t going to let them get past us!
If you don’t have any plans this Friday, come and cheer both the boys and girls teams to victory! Here is this week at a glance:
Monday Feb. 4: “Twin Day” JV and Varsity boys basketball games at Gilroy at 5:30 and 7 p.m. JV and Varsity Boys soccer games at LOHS at 3:30.
Tuesday Feb. 5: “Snow Day” JV and Varsity girls basketball games v.s Salinas at LOHS at 5:30 and 7 pm. JV and Varsity girls soccer games at Salinas at 3:30.
Thursday Feb. 6: “Hillbilly Day” JV guysand JV girls basketball games v.s. Hollister at LOHS at 5:30 and 7 pm. JV and Varsity wrestling match at Hollister at 5:30 and 7 pm. JV and Varsity boys’ soccer games at Palma at 4 and 7.
Friday, Feb. 7: “Homecoming Spirit Day” Homecoming rally! JV and Varsity girls soccer game at LOHS v.s. Hollister at 3:30. Its their last home game, so come and cheer ’em on! Varsity guys and girls Homecomingl games! Tonight, at 5:30 (guys) and 7: (girls) v.s. Hollister! Don’t miss the excitement! GO NUTS!!!
Saturday, Feb. 8: TCAL championships for JV wrestling team at LOHS at 8 a.m. “DECADES DANCE” from 8 to midnight in the LO gym. Come dressed in your favorite decade! $5 with ASB, $7 without.
