An unwavering commitment to keeping downtown Morgan Hill looking beautiful has earned Dave Vincent of Cal Color Growers a Certificate of Commendation from California Garden Clubs, Inc.
Vincent received his award from the South Valley Fleurs Garden Club at an event held in the El Toro Room of the Community and Cultural Center Saturday in front of local dignitaries, garden club members and other Adopt-A-Planter volunteers.
There are a total of 85 downtown Morgan Hill planters – which are tended by various individuals and groups – and Vincent supplies the flowers for all of them, totally free of charge. He also arranges to have the flowers delivered to the required locations on the day of planting.
The award recognizes and honors local garden-related businesses for their support of the California Garden Clubs, Inc. mission, which is the betterment and beautification of the community and the protection and conservation of natural resources. Vincent’s unrelenting generosity to the South Valley Fleurs Garden Club fits the bill.
The South Valley Fleurs Garden Club was chartered in 2001 and serves the communities of Morgan Hill, Gilroy, Hollister and San Juan Bautista.
