The Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce is once again planning a summer of Friday nights filled with live music, local cuisine and family entertainment for the annual Friday Night Music Series.

The series takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. every Friday night from June 14 to August 30, at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center amphitheater, according to Chamber Board of Directors Chair Rich Firato.

The Jessie Charles Band, a “variety dance music” performer, kicks off the fun June 14.

Downtown Morgan Hill restaurant Odeum will sell food at each Friday night event. Local wines and other beverages will be for sale, and attendees are encouraged to dance, Firato said.

Firato noted the summer lineup includes well-known Bay Area bands such as Sugadady, Sexy Back, Soul Kiss and Super Bad. And once again, Nashville recording artist and former Morgan Hill resident Shane Dwight, a blues guitarist, will grace the stage Aug. 23.

“Our plan is to put on a top-notch concert series,” Firato said. “We’re going to have a lot of high-energy music, so people can bring their kids and families out and enjoy a beautiful amphitheater.”

As an added plus, attendees can use tables and chairs offered at the amphitheater by the Chamber, and Chamber members can set up booths around the amphitheater at no charge to promote their businesses, Firato said.
