After graduating Cupertino High School he attended college in Colorado.
Dave excelled in individual competitive sports; earning a green belt in Judo, winning County and State Wrestling Championships, and Professional Motocross races.
He was a licensed plumber and ran his own company.Davy loved animals his entire life.
He is survived by his parents, Barbara and David Kopels, his brother, Rob Kopels, his girlfriend Yvette Barboza, and his six year old daughter Kylie Kopels.
Services will be on October 6th, 2010, 11:00 A.M. at the Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy. Visitation – October 5th, 2010, 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
