As newcomers to Holiday Lake Estates, my wife and I have thoroughly enjoyed the spectacular light display at the Sims home for the past two years.
And after reading in Friday’s edition of The Times about Connie Sims and her passion for Christmas and sharing it so lovingly with her family, friends and neighbors, we just wanted to thank her for putting on such a tribute to the holidays and to her late husband, Gary.
We are sure that he is smiling down on her, proud that she kept up their 20-year tradition. The Sims are true “doers” by any standard and we hope that the family fortunate enough to purchase their home carries on the tradition and takes advantage of all those extra electrical outlets and wiring that the Sims had the foresight to install.
While we have never had the opportunity to get to know Connie, we will miss her greatly for the spirit she and her family brought to Holiday Lake Estates, but wish her well in her move to Eureka to be with her mother. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Connie!
