The City of Morgan Hill will help facilitate a launch of the social networking site called Nextdoor (www.nextdoor.com).
Independent from the city, the site will be a chance to network between neighborhoods. Morgan Hill residents can use the site to create private websites for their neighborhoods, where they can ask neighbors questions and exchange local advice. Topics can range from school activities, plumber and babysitter recommendations, upcoming garage sales or local events or even lost pets.
In order to use the site, residents must verify that they live within the neighborhood. Any information shared on the site will be password-protected and cannot be found through a search engine site, according a press release.
Those interested in joining the Nextdoor website can enter their address on www.nextdoor.com.
