EDITOR: Railroad crossing gates are $120,000 installed here in
Missouri which is still over twice too much for a set of glorified
automatic garage doors. Who gets the extra $400,00 in California as
reported in the June 10 edition of The Times?

Railroad crossing gates are $120,000 installed here in Missouri which is still over twice too much for a set of glorified automatic garage doors. Who gets the extra $400,00 in California as reported in the June 10 edition of The Times?

And if somebody is killed at one of the three other crossings where the over-charges kept gates from going in … Is that that negligent homicide on the railroad who charged the ridiculous amount and the government people who signed off on the project?
