West Coast Farmers Market Association

The Morgan Hill Downtown Association announced it will be hosting a year-round Farmers’ Market from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday nights kicking off this week on Halloween.
Hours will fluctuate seasonally, with the start time beginning at 4 p.m. and ending at 8 p.m. in the summer. The market will periodically feature musicians and a street dance in the summer, according to MHDA Office Manager Raquel Crowell.
“Our goal as a downtown association is to bring people to the downtown and more importantly to the core of our retailers and businesses and restaurants,” she said.
Crowell addedthe MHDA held a test run market in spring, which “brought a lot of people to our downtown core.”
The market will occupy the parking lot area of the former Simple Beverages site and the corner of Third Street and Monterey Road, which will be closed starting at 1 p.m. every Thursday and reopen at 9 p.m. (or 10 p.m. in the summer). The market will start with about 20 vendors and eventually host somewhere between 30 and 40 by the spring, according to Crowell.
