George passed away peacefully at home on Oct 5. He leaves his wife of 59 years, Elvera, his 5 children: Marilyn Awbrey (John), Richard Lico, Bob Lico, Marie Haluza (Dale), and Carol Fioresi (John), his sister Sarah Wilson, and grandchildren Matt and Michelle Haluza and Francesca Fioresi, his sister-in-law Lorraine and her husband Ray Caruso, and his brother-in-law Al Leonetti.
George graduated from Live Oak High in 1942. He went into the trucking and distribution business, in which he remained most of his life. He was past president of the ICF, and a board member of La Isla Pacifica. He was a former member of the San Jose Country Club, and of local golf groups. George and Elvera enjoyed traveling and playing golf at various vacation destinations with family and friends. He will be missed.
Services will be held at Johnson Funeral Home at 17720 Monterey Hwy, Morgan Hill at 2:00 P.M. on Thurs, October 11, followed by a reception at Guglielmo Winery, 1480 E. Main, Morgan Hill, from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M..
