2. Reaction to murderer's conviction
A San Jose man who was pulled from under his parents' Morgan Hill home by police in 2005 after a tense and dangerous SWAT operation was convicted last week of second degree murder in the stabbing death of an 18-year-old man getting ready to graduate from high school. The Times talked to the victim's mother, who said she was satisfied with the conviction and was full of praise for officers who put their lives on the line to arrest her son's killer.
